The Capital

The moment one says capital, the first thing that strikes us is nothing but the money... yep! Its just because of the tremendous twists and turns our stocks is taking. But, neither I am a financial expert nor a commerce graduate to illucidate on it. So let me talk of my state capital where I ended up a few months back.
Lemme admit, it was my one time dream to work in the state capital, Bengaluru. But then, as the years passed I started hating the busy, polluted city with bad public transportation system, though my visits were few. I was too prejudistic about the city before I ended up here recently, which I dont really know if I have to owe it to luck. Good or bad, no comments.
Now, let me introduce "namma bengaluru" to you.
Every Tom, Dick and Harry comes to 'silicon valley' after their graduation to find a job. It's a happening place too. And if one is ready to work on any shift, you have a job for you. If you have specifications for the job then sit and wait patiently; you won't be disappointed.
Beware of sympathizers! When they know you dont have a job and a fresher, with all the sympathies they will provide you with one. What do they pay you??? PEANUTS!!! At times not even that. So one is left dumbstruck, awestruck and thunderstruck at their sympathies.
The "bliss" comes when your friends, already working in Bangalore, dont pick your calls as they think you would ask their help in your job hunt. Don't ever expect a call back. They will call you when they will know either you have found a job or you have left the city for good. Mind you, your true friends will always be there for you.
Then comes the travel joy. If you know the place only then take a auto rickshaw or else BMTC "serves the needy". Conductors and drivers of BMTC have turned out to be comparatively polite.
Then comes the fashion of the "fashion city". You can see people cald in varity of dresses. While some look gorgeous others... I better not comment on it. For the youth out there, fashion is not what you are comfortable in but it is what they see someone else, probably a celebrity, wear.
Yet, "namma bengaluru" is the best and the safest metro to live in. The original Bangaloreans are the same old goody-goody people, always willing to help you out. They will guide you with the jobs, accomodations and the roads, most of all the best mode of transporation BMTC bus.
In Bangalore, shopping freaks will find the best things for the lowest rates. May it be dresses, bags, shoes, or any other accessories. It is not hard to find a 365 days "Sale" shop where you get branded stuff.
When it comes to food items, you can find a More, a Relience Fresh and many more of its kind in most of the areas. The cool weather of Bangalore supports the vendors to supply better fruits and vegetables, not as in Mangalore where everything is half-boiled due to sultry weather.
The city- with people from various parts of the world speaking different languages
-is still a beautiful place to visit if not to stay there for long. And if you hardly listen people speaking Kannada, don't you worry, Bangalore is still a part of Karnataka!
